Sara Gorby
Sara Gorby, Education/Production Director
Sara Gorby was born and raised in the Wood River Valley and has worked as a singer, actor and dancer as well as working behind the scenes as director, choreographer and producer. Sara began with Playhouse on its second production, Godspell, in 2002. For the last twelve years Sara has collaborated with many artist in building and growing programs for St. Thomas Playhouse.

Some of Sara’s favorite experiences in theater were playing Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar and Martha in The Secret Garden with Playhouse and Sally Bowles in Cabaret for Laughing Stock Theater.

As Education Director, she created Company B Performing Arts Day Camp, Summer Theater Project and SPACC (Summer Performing Arts Conservatory Camp). One of the most rewarding and memorable experiences for Sara was directing and choreographing Oliver! in the fall of 2010 and Co-Choreographing West Side Story with Kevin Wade and Peter Burke in 2013.

Along with her passion and energy for theater and a work ethic that doesn’t quit, Sara is as inspired by the children, youth and adults she works with as she is by the opportunity Playhouse has given her to grow as an artist.
