H. Edward Bilkey Memorial Fund

The H. Edward Bilkey Memorial Fund was established in 2007 by Susan Bilkey in loving memory of her husband Ted. Ted was a passionate supporter of children and the arts. It was Susan’s goal to establish a scholarship program for young people with financial need wishing to participate in St. Thomas Playhouse camps. Additionally, the Bilkey Fund helps underwrite the costs of professional musicians required for our programs. In 2013, 50 children & youth participants received $13,725 in camp assistance.

The Playhouse raises money for the Bilkey Fund through private donations, the Girlfriend Luncheon and the Gala Benefit held during the Family Main Stage musical. Thank you to those who contribute to the Bilkey Fund and thereby help the young and talented children of our Valley find their own special and unique voices! If you would care to donate to the Bilkey Fund,
call Brett Moellenberg at 208.726.5349 x 13.

H. Edward Bilkey

The “Bilkey Fund” is a vital part of St. Thomas Playhouse as it provides financial assistance to children and youth so they may attend Company B Performing Arts Day Camp or the Summer Performing Arts Conservatory Camp (SPACC). In 2012, STP awarded 38 scholarships to young people who otherwise would not have been able to participate in our performing arts camps. In 2013, 50 children & youth participants received $13,725 in camp assistance.

The Bilkey Fund was created by Susan Bilkey in memory of her husband Ted who loved children and theater. His memory lives on through the children and teens who receive scholarships so they may pursue their passions for all genres of the performing arts in St. Thomas Playhouse programs.

Sarah Jane Adicoff Memorial Scholarship

In January 2011 Sarah Adicoff, at the age of 21, lost her five year battle with cancer, and the Playhouse lost a bright light that shone both on and off stage. Sarah’s life impacted others in such a positive way. It is because of her strength, courage and love of theater that the St. Thomas Playhouse committee has decided to create a merit scholarship in her memory to attend our SPACC camp. The Sarah Adicoff Scholarship will be awarded to a high school student who demonstrates a love of theater and music and who has an enthusiastic work ethic in the arts.
